Just after the announcement of the Xiaomi Mi 5c at the MWC 2017, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer also unveiled a slightly upgraded variant of the Redmi 4 in China.Dubbed Redmi 4X, the smartphone is identical in terms of design to the Redmi 4, but receives an upgrade in the specifications department.
Redmi 4X Specifications & Features:
The Redmi 4X has a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor along with Adreno 505 GPU.It comes in two memory variants – the base version features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, while the top model comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.You can also add up to 128GB of additional storage via microSD slot on both the variants of the device.
The handset is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF, and LED flash.Up front, there’s a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture.It is powered by a 4,100mAh battery and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top.
As for connectivity, the Redmi 4X offers a hybrid dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.2.There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the back of the handset.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4X will be available in three color options – Cherry Pink, Champagne Gold, and Mate Black.The base variant of the device with 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM is priced at CNY 699 (~$100 or Rs 6,800), while the 3GB + 16GB storage version costs CNY 899 (~$130 or Rs 8,700).
