Ubisoft on Sunday officially announced that the next DLC for Rainbow Six Siege is called ”Operation Red Crow” and will be available to download on November 17th for Season Pass holders and November 24th for everyone else.
Much like Operation Skull Rain before it, Operation Red Crow features two new operators called Hibana (火花) and Echo (エコー) from the Japan’s Special Assault Team (S.A.T.) as well as the new “Skyscraper” map.
Here’s the official description of both the operators via Ubiblog.
Hibana is the attacking operator of the two and features a projectile breaching round that is similar to Ash, except it’s got a little extra kick.At this time, Thermite is the only operator that can break through reinforced walls. However, Hibana adds extra reinforcement breaching ability as well as the tactical advantage of maintaining distance from the wall. Her arsenal includes a SuperNova and Type-89 for primary weapons, and the PM9 and P229 as a secondary, and Flashbang and Claymore mine for gadgets.
While the defender, Echo (エコー) is equipped with a quadcopter drone that can deploy surveillance for the team with a sonic stun ability that can disorient enemies. Echo is a three-armor, one-speed defender and is the first defender with a drone. However, the quadcopter drone will not be able to mark enemies, which means the player using Echo must call out enemy positions on the mic – communication will be crucial.
Echo will be equipped with the SuperNova and MP5SD4 as primary weapons, and the PM9 and P229 as secondary weapons.
Operation Red Crow is the final major content updates scheduled for the year. It comes after Operation Skull Rain, which featured two new Operators from the Brazil’s Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE) – VCaveira and Capitão – as well as the new Favela map.
