Ubisoft on Monday announced that the next DLC for Rainbow Six Siege is called ” Operation Skull Rain ” and will be available to download on August 2nd for Season Pass holders and August 9th for everyone else.
Much like Operation Dust Line before it, Operation Skull Rain features two new operators called Caveira and Capitão from the Brazil’s Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE).
Here’s the official description of both the operators via Ubiblog.
Caveira is the defensive Operator of the two and features a “Silent Step” skill that enables her to sneak up on enemies to immobilize and then interrogate them to reveal their teammates’ location. Her arsenal includes an M12 and SPAS-15 for primary weapons, a PRB92 as a secondary, and Nitro Cell C4 and Barbed Wire for gadgets.
While the attacker, Capitão carries a tactical crossbow that can fire asphyxiating bolts that burn oxygen within a certain radius, as well as micro smoke grenades that can mask positions and team movements. Capitão also has an M-249 and PARA-308 for primary weapon options, a PRB92 for secondary, and frag and stun grenades rounding out his available arsenal.
Ubisoft said this Operation takes the game to the Brazilian favela, but there were no details or images shared regarding new maps.Although they did reveal that the new map ” supports exterior shell destruction, making it Rainbow Six Siege’s most destructible map to date”.
More details on Operation Skull Rain will be revealed during the Season Two Xbox Pro League Finals live stream on July 30 at 10 PM ET / 7 PM PT.
Operation Skull Rain is the third of four major content updates scheduled for the year. It comes after Operation Dust Line, which featured two new Operators from the US Navy SEALs – Valkyrie and Blackbeard – as well as the new Border map.
Rainbow Six Siege is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
